Jonathon Wells believes dance is an extension of his passion for the visual arts, its line, movement, inventive interpretation. These are hallmarks of his professional design work over three decades, originally in graphic design, then in the art of interior design, with his company Gregory Jordan Interiors.

He is an avid gardener revealing “a symphony of form and color, like my contemporary art collection.” Every year he attends the New York and Miami art expositions, and is a fan of the galleries in Paris.

He and his partner Joe (and three canine gals, Dottie Jo, Stella May and Bette Boo) reside in Chicago’s landmark Hutchinson Historic District which he has redesigned, renovated and restored. He is inspired by his travels to exotic locations… in the last year alone Cartagena, Havana, Marrakesh and two visits to the South of France.  Skiing trips to the Western U.S. maintains his agility in Winter months.

Jonathon was inspired to participate in Dancing With The Giordano Stars by friend and 2016 contestants Jackie Bucksbaum and Devin Buchanan, her Giordano partner.  “Both inspired performances, combined with their love of dance, helped to make for an easy decision to participate in the 2017 Dancing With The Giordano Stars.”

He has been involved in fundraising efforts for numbered charitable organizations, including PAWS Chicago, the United States Ski & Snowboard Association, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Concern Worldwide, among others, and is honored to be involved in support of Giordano’s creative mission to innovate and enrich lives through the use of dance.

Wells passionately believes, “now more than ever, the support of the arts, in all forms, must be perpetuated with every conceivable opportunity,” and that Giordano Dance Chicago “is an amazing organization dedicated to preserving and uplifting the art form of dance.”
